Who are education and corporate studios for?

We build these studios for:

• Communication faculties where students learn broadcasting and virtual production hands-on (BAU, İKÜ).

A setup that works without a technical crew

In studios built for internal communication and training videos, the priority is that the system works without a technical crew. We fix the lighting layout, simplify the start–record–shut-down steps and teach your team daily operation at handover.

Fixing every light in the studio to the same colour temperature is a method we often use in broadcast projects; at Istanbul Kültür University and ISF Studios we fixed the system at 5600 K daylight. If the lights need to be run from one console, a DMX 512 infrastructure can be installed: at ISF Studios the whole system is controlled from a central console over DMX 512.

Comfort in long recordings: heat, eyes and noise

LED fixtures give off far less heat than older tungsten fixtures. That is a direct gain for the speaker’s comfort in lesson and training recordings that run for hours. In the Meta Digital Education studio we used soft panels that keep instructors cool and comfortable through long lesson recordings.

Wide soft panels give soft light directly and take up little space. To add no noise to the recording we choose passively cooled panels or fixtures with adjustable fan modes; for example, the Nanlite FS-300C runs at a manufacturer-stated average of 24 dB(A) in smart fan mode.

Low ceilings and studios inside offices

Ceiling height decides where the lights can hang. A low ceiling is not a deal-breaker, but it needs the right fixtures: we built the green screen studio at Istanbul Kültür University’s Ataköy campus under a 2.85 m ceiling, using slim panels so as not to lose space.

For Your Medya we built a production studio integrated into an office floor of the MetroCity business centre in Levent. We delivered the green screen construction and the lighting turnkey.

Green screen and virtual production teaching

In the studio of Bahçeşehir University’s Faculty of Communication in Beşiktaş we built the green screen infinity cove as well as the lighting, and aimed for a shadow-free backdrop and high colour quality so students can learn virtual production with the right technique.
